Wegmans, Crab Cakes and the O's!

Three things we like to do when in Baltimore--shop at Wegmans grocery store, eat crab cakes, and watch the Baltimore Orioles play baseball.

Fortunately there's a Wegmans not too far from our campground so we don't have to drive into Baltimore to shop there.  Wegmans is the BEST grocery store there is!  Take a look at why I LOVE Wegmans--

Excited to be at Wegmans again!

Fresh spiraled veggies of all types

Bakery is yummy!

Cheese, cheese, cheese!

What? A train on tracks suspended from the ceiling!

Floral department smells divine

Look at all that beef and chicken

Don't forget seafood!
The also have a cafĂ© area.  You can choose from fresh hot pizza, hot entrees and side dishes like mac n cheese, barbeque meatloaf sliders, Asian salmon, Indian dishes, salad bar and more!

They have an app that will search for the item your looking for and tell you where to find it in the store! It will also create a shopping list from their recipe collection.  Fantastic!

Ready to shop!

The drive to "my" Wegmans is very pretty.  I just love this part of Maryland.

We were on a 2 lane road but there was only 1 lane going through this tunnel!  Hope everyone is paying attention!

I love barns and silos

We also ate crab cakes and twice baked potatoes from Pappas Restaurant.  Delicious! They're the crab cakes Oprah prefers!

Mmmmm!
Last but not least, we went to an O's game.  Our first time at Camden Yards.  It was fun even though they lost.

It seems like it has rained more days than not.  It could be that I'm just anxious to get out and explore area bike trails and historic towns. Forecast says no rain for a week beginning on Mother's Day.  Yay!

Woodbine, Maryland

While visiting family in the Baltimore area, we are staying at Ramblin' Pines Campground in Woodbine, Maryland.  Its a very wooded rural campground next to a farm.  The sites are roomy and private.  There's a lake for fishing, games like horseshoes, cornhole, ping pong, a game room and workout room along with a laundry, store, and lunch counter. The swimming pool is not yet open. There are also 2 goats that you can feed.

Here's Peaches on her mountain

Someone's going fishing!

Walking around the campground:

It's very pretty and quiet here and we're far enough from a city/town that at night it's pitch black!  Great for star gazing--if you can find them through all the trees!

At the entrance to the campground there's a barn with a painted quilt block on the front.  This is part of the Carroll County Barn Quilt Trail.  To celebrate the area's agricultural history the county painted different quilt blocks on 27 scenic barns in the county.  I'm looking forward to driving by some of the other barn quilts.
